For Windows computers AV software is a requirement.

For Macs it is not. In fact, AV software on a Mac is more of a hazard then what it claims it is going to protect you against. Hence the reason I am suggesting you do away with it.

Hint: On a Mac any software that claims it will clean your Mac for you, increase the performance of your Mac or increase the security is lying to you. Generally all they will do is slow it down or cause damage to it in the long run. They should all be avoided.

Like all non-Apple "anti-virus" products, "AVG" is capable of nothing beneficial, and will only cause problems.

Unfortunately, like many other ill-conceived junk, its uninstallation instructions do not work, a typical characteristic of garbage software.

It gets worse, since from the report you posted it appears you do not have a Time Machine backup to rely upon.
